Gary and I were driving through our neighborhood yesterday when he commented that he saw only one campaign sign in any of the yards we passed. It happened to be for Hillary Clinton, which is not surprising as we live in an area populated largely by baby boomers and older residents. But the absence of political signs this close to an election speaks volumes to where America is regarding the candidates. Nobody really wants to put it out there for their neighbors to see that they support either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. Everyone seems more comfortable bashing Donald or Hillary along party lines. It makes me sad that our country does not have a presidential hopeful of whom we can be proud. It makes me sad that our political system is so broken that we have arrived at such a state.
